Tokyo Kink Society
The Kink Society
Welcome to Japan's largest non profit international
fetish, kink and BDSM organization!

Who we are

Tokyo Kink Society is Japan's only non profit international group of open minded men and women who are interested in fetish, bondage and domination. We are modelled along similar groups that exist in North America and Europe. We produce a number of events including the Oasis Lounge, TKS Underground and the annual Japan Fetish Ball.

Who are we? Well, we come from all walks of life, entrepreneurs, bankers, teachers...basically, we are the same people you meet in daily life each day.

Our aim is to explore alternative, creative and adventurous expression through BDSM and fetish in order to develop the human spirit while expanding our borders of thinking, feeling and sensuality.

The group was started in 2001 by several open minded couples (Japanese and foreigner) living in Tokyo, and has grown from holding small home parties to having internationally known full scale DJ nightclub fantasy BSDM and fetish events (though we still have the home parties as well!) throughout the year on a regular calandar schedule in major Japan venues.

What we do

Our purpose is to provide a safe environment where open minded people can meet and discover about each other. TKS does this by running events and parties on a regular calendar basis as well as a smaller monthly lounge gathering (Oasis) where first timers can meet members of TKS and make new friends.

We welcome both foreigners and Japanese adults, anyone who is curious about S&M, domination, submission and fetish. We accept people from many gender and sexual orientations and from all walks of life. Artists, professionals and all others are welcome, provided you have an open mind, tolerance of others, and respect of the human spirit.

TKS was started because the original members could not find BDSM/kinky/fetish clubs and parties in Tokyo oriented to meeting people that were safe / sane / sensible, reasonably priced and open to non-Japanese as well as Japanese.

Events

We put on the Japan Fetish Ball, Tokyo's kink/fetish party that is held annually in a central Tokyo nightclub, as well as other parties that happen more often, such as TKS Underground and The Gate, a BDSM/fetish oriented nightclub event. You can find out more about these events here on the TKS website (www.tksociety.com). (note: these events have a dresscode that is strictly enforced) We also run an array of other events and smaller home parties.

What are the big parties like? Just you will have to dress up and come to one to see!
Firstly, TKS is *not* a swing club, and TKS parties are *not* sex/swing parties. Rather, they are a completely safe "fantasy space" with all visitors are in fantasy dress and no photography of any kind allowed in event spaces. There are several shows and performances at the event and the club is decorated as a fantasy space, with DJs, video-DJ, as well as shops where you can buy fantasy clothes/costumes. Once you come to one...you will likely be hooked and keep on coming! As well, starting in January 2006, those without costumes will be able to buy them at the party itself and then enter the event!

Although TKS is not for profit, there may be a charge involved (usually the cost for space, or drinks..etc) for a particular event, depending on the arrangements we were able to make for the space we will be using. We try to keep this at a minimum and all money collected is used entirely for the event and regular club expenses only.

How to find us

Although you can either attend one of our open parties such as "The Gate", or "Japan Fetish Ball", it will be easier to meet people involved with TKS on a more casual and relaxed level at our TKSLounge event. This is a social drinking and chat lounge time to get a chance to meet members of TKS on a more social level, followed by an SM playparty. There is no dress code, and anyone can come.

Rules

To make a safe environment for everyone, discretion at TKS events is expected at all times. This means you should not discuss outside TKS events, who you might have met inside. As well, any form of video or photography (including cellphone cameras) is strictly prohibited at any TKS event. There are no exceptions, and there are no "staff cameramen". No photos, period.

Play at TKS events is encouraged. All play at TKS events must be safe / sane / consensual. Event masters will interrupt play that is deemed to not follow these guidelines.

Finally, TKS trained staff (male and female) are always on hand at all TKS events, and ladies are completely safe to attend any TKS event, even alone. Anyone found harrassing or acting in a non respectful manner to any other guests at TKS events will be ejected from the event.

First Time?

Maybe you are not sure what to expect if you attend one of our events. Some things to reassure you.
Firstly, TKS parties are *not* sex parties. Secondly, TKS events are 'safe spaces'. Plenty of staff are always around to ensure that the event/party progesses safely and to the enjoyment of everyone with a fun dungeon space, exciting shows and other entertainment.

Always keep an open mind, and remember that you are not expected to do anything or hang out with anyone that you are not comfortable with while you are at our events. If you see anything that may seem inappropriate or unsafe, just notify the nearest TKS staff member (the ones with the Orange Badges, and we will take care of it immediately).

If you are uncertain or have questions about TKS, it would be best to come to our TKS Oasis Lounge event above. It is a social only casual cocktail event, and people there will be happy to explain to you everything about TKS in English or in Japanese before you attend any parties.
